About Us

Cyprus Kabaddi committee was set up in 2005. The first tournament when organised in 2005 between Nicosia and Larnaca kabaddi teams. The players and the officials invested their time and the best efforts to grow Kabaddi within the Island. Later the different teams were formed and the tournaments are organised twice a year in Nicosia and Larnaca cities of the Island.

The Cyprus Kabaddi Federation was officially registered in 2020 when the biggest event was hosted by Cyprus. The European Kabaddi Championship 2021 where the Poland secured the first position and the Cyprus was runner up in rectangular kabaddi whereas Belgium won the title in circle kabaddi followed by Greece on the second position. Recently the Cyprus Kabaddi players are practising the beach kabaddi which is another rectangular kabaddi.

Cyprus Kabaddi Federation will foster the growth and development of Kabaddi in Cyprus offering learning opportunities in a safe, fair, and friendly environment.
